The math

Landed cost = wholesale + freight
Margin = (tag − landed) ÷ tag
Markup = (tag − landed) ÷ landed
Keystone = 2 × wholesale

Keystone is figured on wholesale cost, so freight quietly takes margin from a keystone tag. The EXAMPLE above lands at 46.5%, not 50%.
